Things you don’t do now you’ll regret later.

As the title says. So to initiate, I’d like to formally introduce today’s approach by letting you all know that they took down one of the house-iest, privately owned libraries in my city. . “house-iest” as in home, you know like The Simpsons living room image?

Literally they took it down, you can only guess why. If you guessed covid-19, you’re correct. So what does this have to do with anything? Right, so I missed the opportunity to purchase possibly one of the last original copies of the M.A.D magazine X Slim Shady colab. I know it’s weird, however, I’ll un-weird it for you all right now… It all began when I passed by a small cozy, dim-lighting, small library next to a neat little corner with dim lighting I previously passed by but never actually went in, vast majority of us have that one store or place, things took a turn however and I decided to finally go with my girlfriend (Love you Paula) and hey, what do ya know? It wasn’t so bad. We liked it, took a look and bought small accessories (button on pins) There was various art and crafty things to choose from ranging from clothing pins, iron-on patches ( Think about it like this South park, Marylin Monroe, Edgar Allan Poe’s Crow, Russian communist propaganda artwork, LGBT pride, Elvis, U.S.A 70’s antique newspaper stacked up in a corner all in one place ) Modern day/ antique-y type of deal.

I go again alone to window shop and scavenger through what’s available because I was sure I’d find something I’d like. And! Whatdoyaknow, I run into one of the smallest/biggest treasures I’ve seen in a while at the time. The M.A.D X Slim Shady magazine from 2001. So I tell myself, WTF nobody is going to buy this as much as I will, let me just hide this here, next to a stack of other magazines nobody will even look at and I’ll come back for it. Here’s where things get interesting. I later come back Almost a 4-5 months since and this:

Amazing.

They turned it into a hair salon. A fucking low grade, crusty looking hairball. I know it’s someone’s way of making a living but man.. There wasn’t even clients in it. Just the owner and like 2 workers. So tired of this world and it’s people. This is when you start to realize humanity does not belong here.. Literally, I missed the opportunity to acquire this fossil.

Clearly lost.

As upset as I was I decided to do my research and it turns out that the “housey library” was named, ” La valija de Fuego ” translated over to” The Suitcase of Fire “. I’m legit sad that they took it down to replace it with a hair salon. I really hope that they relocated rather than closed for good. I’ll keep you all informed if I find something else out. It’s worth the effort. They sold really nice things to read ranging from newspapers, comics, accessories, short-long novels and magazines.

Moral of the story is, realize that things you don’t do now.,. you’ll regret later. I’m sure my example was only an appetizer compared to what others missed due to procrastinating, clumsiness, Ect. While you live for today remember you’ll have to wake up the next!
